Self Portrait Project
For my self portrait project, I made a mobile. The head of the mobile was a wooden gymnast to symbolize my dedication to the sport. Coming down from the gymnast was 6 columns. In each of the columns had 6 pictures or something of meaning to me on the front and on the back was an explanation of its deeper meaning. The white had my favorite bible versus on the front and was dedicated to my religion. The pink had some of my favorite gymnastics pictures to show the athletic side of my life. The purple had pictures from choir and other musical events. The light blue held memories of me and my family. The dark blue had photos from times I was with my school friends. Lastly, the silver contained pictures of just myself that all showed me in different times of my life and what the picture symbolized to that time and how it shaped me.
Throughout this project, I really learned a lot about myself. I challenged myself to look very deeply into who I am as a person, and how each and every depicted event truly affected me. By taking a deeper look into myself, I have been able to understand myself more and why I do certain things the way I do. It has revolutionized my relationship to my family, my friends, and even myself.
